This is my thirteenth year of teaching at Dumfires Elementary. At Dumfries I have taught third grade, first grade, and am presently a Reading Specialist. Before coming to Prince William County, I taught second grade for three years in the International School in Manilla in the Philippines. Before that I taught first grade for five years in Twentynine Palms, California. My husband worked for the government so we moved from assignment to assignment and I enjoyed teaching in those different locations.
I grew up in Idaho and Utah and earned my BA degree from Brigham Young University. I later earned my Teaching Credential from Chapman University in California. I am enjoying working for Prince William County Schools and I especially love Dumfries Elementary. There is a very high level of support for learning and teaching in this school system. I especially enjoy teaching Reading and working closely with children to help them succeed as readers. | |
